5-MINUTE MASSAGE FOR BRIGHTER EYES


FIVE MINUTE EYE MASSAGE TIPS

The eyes are an area that really responds well to facial massage! If you struggle with dark circles or puffiness in this area, a bit of gentle massage can sometimes be just as effective as topical products. For this massage, a little bit of pure facial oil (oil blends can be a bit strong for use around the eyes) OR an eye serum can be used to facilitate slip.


We also love to chill our tools first before working on the eye area for extra cooling and soothing. To chill your tool, you can place it in your fridge, freezer or just a bowl of cold water to get it nice and cool.This feels especially nice after a long day of staring at a phone and computer screen, to really relax tired eyes.

THE FIVE STEPS

STEP ONE : WARM UP THE SINUSES - Using the small end of the spoon tool, we want to start to gently apply pressure to the sinus area on the side of the nose and massage downward to start to warm up the sinuses and drain excess congestion there, which can contribute to dark circles and excess fluid around the eyes. STEP TWO : GENTLE UNDER EYE ROLLS - After working on the sinuses, we now want to flush out the excess with some gentle massage outward. For this move, line the long end of the spoon tool up near the sinuses and then gentle roll out to the temples to drain and de-puff. STEP THREE : BROW LIFTING - Still using the thin end of the tool, we can start to lift the brows. Starting at the inner corner of the brow. Apply gentle upwards pressure. push gently up and outwards to release brow tension and move excess congestion that can accumulate there as well. STEP FOUR : UNDER EYE PATS - This massage is all about moving stagnant fluid that can sit in the undereye area for numerous reasons. Now, using the larger spoon end of the tool, we want to gently rock and pat outwards with a paddle motion. As with all movements, start near the nose and work out towards the temples. STEP FIVE : UNDER EYE SWEEPS - We have already done a lot to open up the eyes, by moving congestion. Now we just want to complete the massage with some outward swoops to really clear everything out. Starting near the bridge of the nose, lay your tool flat and in one long motion, glide out to the temples. Use very gentle pressure and always support the skin with your other hand to avoid pulling on the skin.

Five minute face massages to-glow are timed to be about five minutes long. There is no sound, so you can use this as quiet time or add your own soundtrack. Follow the moves in the video - about thirty seconds per move - on each side. Complete everything in five moves and five minutes.
