THE DAILY P.M. GLOWTOCOL
The P.M. Glowtocol is our go-to ritual for evening skincare. Ending the day with exfoliating vitamin A, deep hydration and a good nourishing oil, helps repair and refresh the skin overnight. This five-step bedtime routine can be performed in under five minutes for softer, dewier skin the next day.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED*
Vitamin A or Retinol Serum
STEP ONE : CLEANSE - Gently cleanse the skin for about two minutes, massaging the face gently. We want this to be a thorough cleanse to really help remove makeup and debris from the day. Rinse with cool to lukewarm water.
STEP TWO : TONER - After a long day, toner is ideal to help finish the cleansing process and remove any impurities or pollution that can stick to the skin. Apply your toner to a cotton round and then swipe the entire face to prep it for the rest of your nightime products.
STEP THREE : VITAMIN A OR RETINOL SERUM - Vitamin A products should always be used at night as they can promote sun sensitivity during the day. After cleansing and toning, pat a small amount of your serum onto the skin and let it absorb. If you are pregnant, nursing or have sensitive skin, opt for vitamin A or another gentle retinol alternative.
STEP FOUR : MOISTURIZER - Following your serum, apply a generous layer of your favorite moisturizer. Thicker creams can be used for this ritual if you prefer extra moisture but you can also use the same moisturizer for day and night.
STEP FIVE : FACIAL OIL - Finish your evening ritual with a layer of pure facial oil or your favorite facial oil blend. If your skin is naturally oily, only a light layer is necessary to treat and balance the skin. However, if your skin is dry or you are concerned about signs of aging, we love to apply a generous glaze of the oil and let the product absorb while you sleep.
* Glowtocol protocols are designed to be universal for all skin types and concerns. You need only select products appropriate for your skin type in order to customize and follow along.
